The Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) will be participating in the Alternative Investment Summit (AIS) scheduled for Sao Paulo on April 28-30.
Brazil is now the world's biggest emerging market, displacing China, according to the MSCI GEM index of global emerging markets. AIS will bring the booming Brazilian hedge fund industry together under one roof.
Since February 21st, funds based in Brazil are able to invest more than the previous 20% limit in non-Brazilian assets. This long-awaited regulatory change represents an enormous opportunity. Brazil’s Securities and Exchange Commission will be on hand at AIS to deliver a special address clarifying the latest round of regulatory changes. Additionally, leading international hedge fund managers and economists will be presenting at the conference.
A BFSB Team will be exhibiting at AIS, and will also host a Bahamas Presentation on the first morning of the event.
