The joint public/private sector committee appointed to assess the results of The Bahamas Survey and Branding Strategy will issue a report to the Government by the end of the year.
The survey, which was completed earlier this year, was designed to evaluate:
The Bahamas’ reputation as an international financial centre
Its ability to provide key services
Why customers use The Bahamas as well as why not
Whether The Bahamas needs to expand its base of services
The survey also reflects the Bahamas’ commitment to excel in the delivery of financial services. While the government and industry were pleased that the jurisdiction was named the “Best International Centre in the Western Hemisphere” late last year by a well regarded industry publication, both parties recognise the value and importance of intelligent planning. In this regard, the Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) now is working closely with Government in the development of a new five year strategic plan, based on the results of the survey.
An executive summary of the results of the Bahamas Survey and Branding Strategy has been released already. BFSB extends thanks to the 227 local and international respondents for taking the time to participate in the survey.
