Regulation & Compliance Issues to be Addressed at BFS Retreat

Rowena G. Bethel, Legal Advisor in the Ministry of Finance will facilitate the Regulation & Compliance small group Breakout Session at the 2007 Bahamas Financial Services Retreat. She will set the stage for discussion amongst session participants on key international players in the regulatory regime as well as providing an overview of the Bahamas environment. It is anticipated that issues to be raised during two separate Regulation & Compliance breakouts will include Corporate Governance/AML, External Assessments and the Internal Review Process and that, overall, participants will review the changing environment some 6 years after the introduction of a new legislative and regulatory regime.
