The Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) will be participating in the Alternative Investment Summit (AIS) scheduled for Sao Paulo on April 28-30.
Brazil has become the world's biggest emerging market, displacing China, according to the MSCI GEM index of global emerging markets. The Alternative Investment is the only conference that focuses on this key market. AIS will bring the booming Brazilian hedge fund industry together under one roof. Top international and Brazilian hedge funds have already confirmed their attendance, and they will be joined by institutional investors, family offices, and funds of funds.
BFSB CEO Wendy Warren says that it is important that The Bahamas remains focused on building on the positive momentum established over the past years. “In recent years”, she says, “The Bahamas has developed fruitful relationships with the Brazilian market. During the course of Brazil Briefing visits, Bahamas Briefings (in Nassau) and conference participation, BFSB has met with a range of industry participants, including banks, asset managers, lawyers, and accountants.”
