CFA Society The Bahamas
The CFA Society The Bahamas is a Member Society of the CFA Institute. The local Society sponsors an annual Review Course for Level I candidates of the Chartered Financial Analyst™ (CFA®) Program and provides ongoing support for professional development to all interested local investment professionals. Membership is open to persons employed in the financial services industry who meet the minimum standards for membership as established by the CFA® Institute.
The CFA Institute is the leading, global, professional association in the investment industry, serving investment analysts, portfolio managers and other investment decision makers. With more than 50,000 members and over 86,000 CFA candidates in 2001, it is uniquely qualified to provide investment leaders with global leadership in investment education, advocacy and educational programs and the opportunity to network with other investment professionals.
The Chartered Financial Analyst Program is the globally recognised standard of competence and integrity among investment professionals. Administered by the CFA Institute, the CFA curriculum covers a comprehensive body of knowledge of securities analysis, professional standards and other investment principals. Three levels of examinations taken over at least three years measure a candidate's ability to apply these principles at a professional level. The CFA exam is administered annually in more than 70 countries.
